Nepal proposes trans-Himalayan railway
(news.webindia123.com). Nepal's King Gyanendra has proposed the construction of a cross-country electric railway line from Birganj, the commercial capital of Nepal in the south of the country, to Tatopani near the Tibetan border, in order to boost trade and tourism between Nepal, India and China.
