Tibetans secure 50 more years in Himachal Pradesh
(TibetNet) The Himachal Pradesh government has extended its land lease arrangement for Tibetan refugees living in the Indian state for a further 50 years, and has also allowed the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) to purchase and register the land directly without having to go through a middleman, a practice which in the past had led to cases of corruption and year-long disputes. Prof. Samdong Rinpoche, Kalon Tripa of the CTA also thanked the members of the Himachal government for the state’s continuous support and warm hospitality during a meal hosted by the Assembly of the Tibetan People's Deputies (ATPD) in Dharamsala.
