Maintenance of Ramoche temple completed
(Xinhua) Chinese state media reports that a joint Sino-Swiss maintenance project on the Ramoche Temple in Lhasa has been completed. The Swiss government invested 200,000 Swiss francs (UK£86,600; US$150,000; EUR€126,390) for parts of the maintenance work. The Chinese government plans to provide another 7 million yuan (UK£505,140; US$875,000; EUR€737,357) between 2006 and 2008 for a further overhaul of the temple.
