Nepal police detain 41 Tibetans
(Phayul) Nepalese police have detained 41 Tibetans for illegal entry into the country, a police official said, adding: "All of them were handed over to the immigration department in Kathmandu". Whereas mostly Tibetans are arrested just after crossing the Tibet-Nepal border southward, this group was detained at the Thankot police checkpoint outside Kathmandu, after travelling from Bhairahawa, 282 km southwest of the capital. This indicates that the arrestees where on their way back from India to Tibet.
